Kurz vor Weihnachten erhielten drei Organisationen, die sich seit Jahrzehnten für besonders von Armut und Ausgrenzung bedrohten/betroffenen Frauen* in Oberösterreich einsetzen, die Benachrichtigung des oberösterreichischen Frauenreferats, dass die jährlichen Förderungen mit 2018 zu 100% eingestellt werden. Als Begründung wurde angeführt, die Tätigkeit der Vereine gehöre nach den neuen Förderkriterien nicht mehr zum Kerngeschäft des Frauenreferats.
Die betroffenen Vereine maiz, FIFTITU% und Arge SIE (Verein Arge für Obdachlose) leisten seit vielen Jahren grundlegende Arbeit mit und für Sexarbeiter*innen, Migrant*innen, Künstler*innen und wohnungslosen Frauen*. Sie setzen sich damit gegen Ausgrenzung und für Empowerment ein. Aus unserer Sicht ist genau diese feministische und gesellschaftspolitische Arbeit der betroffenen Einrichtungen wichtiger denn je, weshalb deren Förderung zentrales Interesse eines Frauenreferats sein sollte.
